Matt Bloom
Matt Bloom has recently joined GFI Retail Group as managing director. With over 18 years in the retail industry, Matt plays an intricate role in establishing a significant retail client base for the group and helping them grow into a major driving force in the retail leasing business.
Prior to working at GFI, Matt was an executive vice president and partner at Retail Realty LLC. where he oversaw the company’s New Jersey branch and represented major retailers including Staples, The Home Deport, AC Moore, The Sports Authority, Shurguard Self Storage, Darden Restaurants, The Ruby Tuesday Group, Seven Eleven, Excess Space Retail Services and the Woodmont Company. During his tenure, Matt was responsible for leasing more than 3 million square feet of space.
Matt also brings first-hand retailer experience to GFI Retail Group. For many years, he owned a successful kosher restaurant in Westchester, New York during which time he received several notable awards including the ‘Best of Westchester from 2004-2008’.
He was also the recipient of the Westchester Business Council’s ‘Rising Stars/Entrepreneur 40 under 40 Award in June 2006 and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Jaime Schultz
Jaime Schultz, Senior Retail Associate at GFI Retail Group, specializes in retail leasing and lease negotiations both locally and nationally. Jaime is currently focusing on leasing the prime retail space at The Brooklyn Office Exchange in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn. This one million square foot mixed-use property is located across the street from Brooklyn’s Atlantic Yards and offers prospective tenants large floor plates in a bustling area.
Jaime is also focusing on two prime retail exclusives in Williamsburg: The infamous Finger Building and 310 Bedford Ave. Jaime is also a resident of Williamsburg and a strong supporter of Brooklyn. As a member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, she is constantly aware of the amazing opportunities for growth in Brooklyn and the New York area.
Jaime began her real estate career at Prudential Douglas Elliman in development site sales and soon found her niche in commercial real estate sales and leasing. She played an intricate part in building Brooklyn’s commercial real estate division for Prudential until she was recruited by GFI to play a critical role in establishing the Retail Group. Prior to working at Prudential Douglas Elliman, Jaime obtained valuable retail experience while working directly for known NYC retailer Kate’s Paperie, where she was responsible for building the company’s website as well as leading in development and operation of the company’s e-commerce division.
Before moving to NYC ten years ago, Jaime graduated with a BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR. As an artist Jaime is constantly learning new creative ways to work in the world of retail. Jaime is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Seth Dubner
Seth Dubner, Leasing Representative for the GFI Retail Group, provides the team with extensive due diligence and plays a significant support role to senior leasing agents. He is a conscientious individual who offers valuable financial insight and perspectives to his team on a daily basis.
Prior to working at GFI, Seth worked at Rosin and Associates as an appraiser and third party underwriter for Lehman Brothers. He graduated from Washington University in 2005 with a major in economics and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Seth is currently continuing his education in real estate development at New York University. He is originally from Pittsburgh, currently resides in Manhattan’s East Village.
